Party likes its 1999

The year was 1999 and the millennium was right around the corner, the millennium bug was assured to wipe out the internet and Pokemon Gold and Silver had just come out.

It's been 10 years but Nintendo hasn't forgotten about its fans.

The long awaited remakes of Gameboy games Pokemon Gold and Silver have finally been confirmed a reality.

Who knows, with names like Heart Gold and Soul Silver they sound a bit.. different but hopefully we will be getting the long awaited remakes we deserve... you know with buying over 23 million copies of the original and all.

The Games are currently slated for an autumn release to coincide with Gold and Silver's 10'th anniversary.
"It's official. Pokémon Gold and Silver will be remade — something that was hinted at last weekend on Japan's Pokémon Sunday TV program.

The tenth anniversary remakes will be called Pokémon Heart Gold and Poké Soul Silver — much akin to the Fire Red and Leaf Green Gameboy Advance remakes of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green.

The original Gold and Silver sold 23 million copies worldwide. Expect the DS remakes this autumn in Japan with newly added elements."
